Terms of use
These terms govern the use of Parlozo, a voice-based language learning app. By creating an account you agree to them and to the Privacy policy.
1. The service and the teacher
Parlozo teaches languages through voice conversation with immediate correction. The voice teacher is an ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, not a person — at no point does a human listen to your conversations.
How AI works in Parlozo — what it does, what it never does, and the mandatory disclosures — is on the AI notice page.
2. Requirements
Minimum age: 18. Your date of birth is verified at sign-up and cannot be changed inside the app afterwards.
Parlozo is available only in the countries where we operate; the check is based on the country you are in, never on the language you study.
3. Account and deletion
Access requires an account with e-mail and password (or magic link/Google sign-in, when available). You are responsible for keeping your password safe.
You can delete your account at any time inside the app, under Profile → Your data. Deletion is irreversible and removes all of your progress, memories and session summaries. A record of the request (with no personal data) stays in our internal audit trail, and access logs are kept for 6 months in anonymized form, as required by law (Marco Civil, art. 15).
4. No promise of results
Parlozo is a practice tool. The AI correction can be wrong and your progress depends on your practice. Nothing here is an official proficiency certification.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Parlozo to:
- practice or plan illegal activity;
- harass, threaten or demean anyone;
- bypass usage limits, share your account or resell access;
- reverse engineer the systems or scrape content automatically.
6. Your data
Personal data processing is described in the Privacy policy, which is part of these terms. In short: none of your data is sold; data exists to run the app and track your progress; export and deletion are self-service inside the app.
7. Suspension and changes
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms and may update the terms; material changes are announced inside the app. Continued use after the notice counts as agreement.
8. Subscription and payment
Lessons are free. The paid plans (Plus and Pro) add daily Chat minutes and are billed in Brazil through Asaas, by PIX, boleto or credit card. Prices are on the Plans page.
Trial: on each person's first subscription, the plan starts right away and the first charge is due after 7 days. If you cancel during the trial, you pay nothing. Later subscriptions have no trial: the first charge is due on the day you subscribe and the plan starts once the payment is confirmed.
Automatic renewal: the subscription renews every cycle (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. With a card, renewals are charged automatically; with PIX and boleto, the new charge arrives by email and stays in Profile → Your plan.
Cancellation: anytime, in Profile → Your plan, with no fee. Further charges stop right away and you keep the plan until the end of the period you already paid for; then the account goes back to the free plan. If you cancel during the trial, the plan goes back to free right away.
Right of withdrawal: you may withdraw within 7 days, counted from the subscription or from each payment (whichever is later), and get the full amount back, by the same method, as guaranteed by article 49 of Brazil's Consumer Protection Code. Ask through the channel in the footer.
Late or disputed payment: while a charge is overdue, or disputed on the card, the account uses the free plan limits. Once paid, the plan comes back.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for damages related to the use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms follow Brazilian law, including the Internet Civil Framework (Law 12.965/2014), the LGPD (Law 13.709/2018) and the Consumer Defense Code. Questions: the privacy channel listed in the footer.
